Stock images – where to find, preferably for free

I love Facebook, there I said it – and yes, I know, as everything else it has it’s dark sides which from time to time make me sad, angry or even depressed. However, it is also the best place to interact with people, friends or like minded people – like front-end developers. This post is a scrape of one post on a group I love: “Frontenders DK”. A group with more than 1000 front-end developers, people developing websites and sharing information related to that field.

We all need stock images – web

A person (Jacob Andersen) asked for links to great stock image sites, and some great links were posted. I want to pull them out to this post so that I, and you, can google that list of great stock images sites. So here goes – a scrape of links to stock image sites.

  • unsplash.com: “Free (do whatever you want) high-resolution photos. 10 new photos every 10 days.”
  • peopleimages.com: “Buy royalty-free images for your website, poster, flyer and all other projects. Get the world’s top selling photo collection at prices you can afford!”
  • pexels.com: “Best free stock photos in one place”
  • freepik.com: “Find Free Vectors, PSD, Icons and photos”
  • pixabay.com: “Free high quality images you can use anywhere”
  • stocksnap.io: “Hundreds of high resolution images added weekly”
  • Medium post: “Stock photos that don’t suck
  • ISO Republic: High-quality, free photos for creatives

I have extended the list with more links, please also share in a comment your prefered stock image site.

Oh, do not forget apps, – non-web

Guess that it would be relevant to also add other ways of discovering stock images, like good old non-web way: Install an app! Here goes:

  • Zoommy ($ 3.99): “Zoommy helps you find awesome free stock photos for your creative product or inspiration
